Kagama -The Literaturevixen

An old widow weaves a beautiful brocade of a magnificent palace which means more to her than life itself. When the East wind sweeps it away, each of her three sons tries to retrieve it, only to each face difficult challenges.

 

       I remember being enchanted by this chinese folktale when I was  younger largely because of the beautiful illustrations and the end where the weaver girl ,the servant of the East wind weaves herself into the tapestry.
